Have you heard of the name ¡°James Dyson¡±? If you haven¡¯t, have you heard of an electric fan without blades? Yes, James Dyson is the amazing person who created this device. With his extraordinary invention, James Dyson, who was born in 1947 in England, is currently recognized as the ¡°Steve Jobs of England.¡± What motivated him to make it? Let me tell you an interesting story about the birth of this fan!

James Dyson was already famous in England for inventing a vacuum cleaner that does not need a dust bag. Then he invented a hand dryer that dries hands with air faster than other similar products.

One summer day, one of Dyson¡¯s friends visited him with his son. It was a very sultry day, so the child was roaming around the fan. While talking to his friend, Dyson suddenly heard someone screaming. It was the child. He was crying on the floor holding his hands in pain.

The story was that the child was so curious about the fan¡¯s blades whirling around that he ended up putting his hand into the fan. Fortunately, his hand was not seriously hurt. Dyson and his friend took him to the hospital for treatment. On the way back home, Dyson said to his friend, ¡°If there was a fan with no wings, children would be safe.¡± His friend giggled, ¡°Is there such a fan in the world?¡±

¡°There is no rule that fans must have blades to make wind,¡± he thought to himself. So, he decided to invent a new fan by himself! He wanted to make a better and safer fan for people. After several attempts, he eventually succeeded! His fan was completely different from other regular fans. It looked like a huge ring. There are no visible blades, of course. (However, there are blades hidden inside the base.)

¡°Can this fan really work?¡± Because of its unique appearance, people hesitated to try it at first. However, interestingly, the fan was able to make air move 15 times stronger than other fans. It surprised everybody.

His innovation will never stop!
