Everyone tells a lie once in a while. Lies are not always bad. Sometimes white lies are necessary to maintain good relationships with others. For example, in some cases, you can¡¯t really tell people the truth.
Let¡¯s say, for instance, your friend asks you how she looks in her new dress. You may think that dress is a disaster. But you can¡¯t really say that. Instead, you would say, ¡°It looks really great on you!¡± And, there are techniques to telling a good lie that does not hurt anyone.

To our surprise, there is even a contest to choose the world¡¯s best liar! The World¡¯s Biggest Liar contest is held in London every year. Interestingly, politicians and lawyers are not allowed to participate in the contest.
Yes, they are considered to have an unfair advantage! Contestants had five minutes to impress the judges with a whopping but convincing lie.

This year, the fun contest was held in northwestern England. Amazing liars from all over the world came to tell lies. Judges are still in discussions over winner of this year¡¯s best liar. The competition was founded in honor of 19th century landlord Will Ritson, who was famous for his tall tales.
