There
are many interesting theme parks in the world. But have you ever seen
a toilet park? To our surprise, there is the world¡¯s first toilet
park in Suwon, Korea! The park was opened to the public in July
this year.
So far, more than 40,000 people visited the park. There are many interesting
sculptures inside the park,
including Rodin¡¯s Thinker who is pondering even harder than
usual as he sits on a toilet. Also, there is a toilet-shaped museum. It
once was the home of Sim Jae-duck, founder and first president of the World Toilet
Association¼¼°èÈÀå½Ç¹®ÈÇùȸ.
He was also the mayor of Suwon. Mr. Sim founded the association to spread the benefits of clean
toilets around the world. He even provided restrooms for soccer
fans when Korea hosted the 2002 World Cup. This is why he is called
¡°Mr. Toilet.¡± He passed away in 2009 at the
age of 70. But his love of toilet keeps on going in the toilet park.
The world¡¯s first theme park and museum dedicated to the restroom
is free for everyone.
We spend a lot of time in the restroom throughout our lifetime. Going to the restroom
is as vital as eating. Why don¡¯t
you visit the fun park in Suwon and learn more about the restroom?
