How do anteaters eat ants?
An anteater has a very unique appearance. The head is long
and slender. It also has a very long nose and small mouth and jaw. Surprisingly, it doesn’t
have teeth. Instead of teeth, it has a long and wide tongue! An anteater uses
its long tongue to eat ants, which is its main prey.
 In addition,
an anteater’s saliva is very sticky, so it is easy to
capture ants! To our surprise,
one anteater can swallow about 30,000 ants in a day! Anteaters eat
not only ants, but also various kinds of ripe fruits
that they find on the ground.
One more thing - they have a very keen sense of smell. Surprisingly,
they can smell about 40 times better than a human! They use the sense
of smell to detect ants. Wow, it seems
