 Dogs
are loyal to their owners. You’ve even probably heard about dogs
that saved their owners’ lives. A 12-year-old German shepherd named Ciccio is
also moving people’s hearts with his show of loyalty. He lives in Italy.
Sadly, his owner died two months ago.
Surprisingly, the loyal dog
keeps turning up, each day at the
church his owner Maria used
to attend! Ciccio heads to the church in the village of San Donaci as
soon as the bells begin to ring each afternoon.
He used to go to the church with Maria for many years when she was
alive. After his owner died,
Ciccio began sleeping outside the church every night. The villagers
were moved by the dog’s devotion.
Now they are taking good care of him. The priest of the church also
gives him food and water. He even allows the dog to sit in front of the altar during Mass! Now the
priest is hoping to find a new home for the faithful dog. Let’s hope
Ciccio finds a good new owner soon! |
