In summer, sharks often show up near the coasts of the nation. They are a huge threat to beachgoers. Most of them are considered to be very fierce and aggressive. Experts say some of their features make them perfect ocean hunters. Then, what abilities do sharks have that make them kings of the ocean?

Sharks are warm-blooded animals, while most species of fish are cold-blooded. That means they can keep their blood warm in cold water. Therefore, they can keep their bodies active and move quickly to hunt prey in cold water.

Their snouts are placed right under the heads and bulge forwards, allowing the sharks to be able to open their mouths wide. Their jaw bones are also loosely connected to the sharks¡¯ heads. These structures allow the jaws to move in any direction, so that they can eat huge-size prey.

One of the great features is the shark¡¯s teeth, which are very hard and strong. With such teeth, sharks never let prey go once they get a hold of them. And their teeth continuously grow and replace during the sharks¡¯ lives.

In addition, they have keen eyesight. They can see the subjects even in the dark! According to scientists, sharks¡¯ eyes reflect all kinds of light.

To our surprise, sharks have eight more sense organs than humans. They use all their senses to detect prey. It seems like sharks are truly the most powerful hunters in the ocean!
