Fashion models and candy usually don¡¯t go together. After all, models aren¡¯t known to have a sweet tooth. But just because they stay away from eating foods like cakes, lollipops, and whipped cream doesn¡¯t mean they can¡¯t wear them!

Earlier this month, the Fifth Tokyo Sweets Collection Fashion Show was held at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo. Nine of Japan¡¯s best known patisserie chefs showcased their amazing edible creations.

Models wore everything from strawberry hats, and whipped cream belts to meringue dresses. Even shoes and purses were made from sugary ingredients!

Although the clothes looked delicious, it was more important that the clothes looked beautiful. ¡°For the fashion show, it¡¯s not about cooking the macaroon for the best flavor, but about it looking beautiful,¡± said Chef Toshihiko Yoroizuka. ¡°The intent is to create something that will inspire and look beautiful.¡±

However, that didn¡¯t stop audience members from tasting all the creations. Following the fashion show, the chefs not only revealed their secrets, but also provided a taste test. If you ever visit Japan around this time of year, why don¡¯t you visit the Tokyo Sweets Collection Fashion Show? It is held every year!
