What do you usually enjoy doing with your smart phone? If you play mobile games too much, it could have a bad effect on you. On the other hand, smart phones can result in improving someone¡¯s life. That¡¯s what a British teenager named Nick D¡¯Aloisio is doing.

Recently, a 17-year-old student sold his mobile app to the web giant Yahoo for a large amount of money! The student developed an app called ¡°Summly¡± that makes summaries of news stories. The summaries help users of smart phones and tablet PCs quickly find out what a story is about, before they decide whether or not to read the whole article. Summly has been downloaded about 1 million times so far.

D¡¯Aloisio was born in Australia. He read an astronomy book when he was six. At age 9, he even mastered by himself directions for an animation program and began to create software when he was only 12 years old. What¡¯s more surprising is that he released a previous version of his app called ¡°Trimmit¡± in 2011.

The genius student founded a venture company and started his app service from last November. He ended up on the list of Best Apps in 2012. Soon, he will get a job for the internet company Yahoo. He said in an interview, ¡°I started doing it as a hobby and I didn¡¯t realize it was possible to make money out of it,¡± and ¡°It¡¯s like a dream.¡±
