Pinocchio Lizard Was Found    [25-10-2013] Look at the picture. This animal has a very unique appearance. Its nose looks like Pinocchio’s, a character whose nose grew each time he lied. For that reason, this cute animal is called the Pinocchio Lizard! People thought that it died out about 50 years ago, since it disappeared in the 1960s. However, quite surprisingly, it was recently found in a remote region of north Ecuador! A team of photographers from an eco-tourism company found this interesting animal. “It’s hard to describe the feelings of finding this lizard. Finding the Pinocchio lizard was like discovering a secret, a deeply held secret. We conceived it for years to be a mythological creature,” Alejandro Arteaga, a photographer and one of the lizard’s spotters, said in a statement. He added that this unique lizard has one of the tiniest ranges of all lizard species in the world. It is really great to find endangered or extinct animals.
