What is the biggest fish that you have ever seen in your life? If someone told you that a fisherman caught a fish that is heavier than a human, would you believe it? To our surprise, recently, a German fisherman went fishing off the coast of Norway, and caught a huge fish weighing 233 kg!

One day in July, a fisherman named Marco Liebenow was trying to catch some fish in Norwegian waters. While fishing, he felt something big on his hook. But when he tried to reel it in, it was too heavy.

After 90 minutes, Livenow and his three friends managed to reel the fish up. However, the fish was too big to fit in their small boat, and they brought the fish to shore by tying the fish to the boat.

The fish was really huge. The fish was a kind of halibut. It weighed 233 kg and was 2.8 m long. Experts think that the halibut had lived over 50 years. It seems that the halibut will set the new record as the heaviest Atlantic halibut of the International Game Fishing Association (IGFA).

The Atlantic halibut is a large fish, and they can weigh up to 317 kg and be up to 4.6 m long. They can live up to 50 years!
