Our
world is filled with mysterious happenings. Recently, hundreds
of rocks were found on the Otago coast along Koekohe Beach
near Moeraki, New Zealand. It is estimated they were originally formed on the
ancient sea floor roughly 60 million years ago.
People usually call the rocks by their nicknames - for example, ¡°giants play beads,¡± ¡°huge
dinosaur eggs,¡± and ¡°alien¡¯s trace.¡±
In fact, the
impressive, huge spherical
stones scattered over the beach
are officially called the Moeraki boulders. The diameter of the boulders
ranges between 1 m and 6 m.
There is no doubt that the rocks were made by nature, but many people
suggest different interpretations of these objects. What do you think
of the rocks? Imagine how and when were they formed! |
