 There
are very small animal species in the world. Most people are interested
in rare animals. We have to
protect them. In spite of their cute looks, they are mostly endangered. On August 24,
new and small animals appeared! They are even smaller than a coin!
Two tiny turtles were spotted in a tank at a sea life center in Birmingham,
England. The species is the Roti Island
snake-necked turtle.
 It is known
as one of the rarest species in the world. According to the officials,
they were surprised, because the turtles’ mother had hidden her eggs
in the sand at the bottom of her tank.
The one-week-old turtles are now receiving special care. The turtles
can be only discovered on several islands in Indonesia. Sadly, the
young turtles number only 250 worldwide
now. |
