First Drink on the Moon    [13-06-2014] Otsuka Pharmaceutical Group, a beverage manufacturing company in Japan, recently launched a brilliant advertisement campaign for its product. It will send its sports drink called Pocari Sweat to the moon in 2015! A Falcon 9 rocket, carrying the beverage, will be launched in October 2015 from Florida. If it successfully lands on the moon, the beverage will become the first commercial product in space for marketing purposes. To make the advertisement a success, the company designed a special titanium container, weighing 1 kg. It can withstand the harsh environment of the moon, where temperatures can reach 110℃ during the day and minus 170℃ at night. They will put a small amount of the drink in powdered form in the container. Along with this, there will be several silver discs engraved with “children’s dreams.” Children who want their dream to be delivered on the moon can participate in the event.
