Where¡¯s the Keyboard?    [11-07-2014]

For the past 150 years since the invention, computer keyboards have been pretty much the same. Now, a company in Texas, the United States, came up with a new wireless keyboard called ¡°AirType.¡±

We have already had wireless keyboards, but this one is vastly different from conventional types: It does not have any physical keys to type on.

AirType looks like bracelets. You can wear it on your palms and type on any surface, or even in the air, as if you are working on a real keyboard.

The gadget has a built-in motion sensor that picks up on any movement of your hands. The sensor translates it into a keystroke each time you press your finger. The Bluetooth transmitter sends your input to the device you are using, whether it be a computer, a smartphone, or a tablet.

AirType is expected to provide you with the same experience of typing on your favorite keyboard. I guess that brings us one step closer to science fiction.
