Jan. 4, Junior Ambassadors and reporters from The Kids Times went
to some of Korea’s tourist attractions to interview foreigners about
their opinions of Korea and its culture. Read on for more!
1. We went to N Seoul tower, where we interviewed some foreigners.
Some interviewees liked the view from the tower and said that they
don’t have this kind of tower in their country. This interview project
gave us a good opportunity to speak with foreigners. At first, we
were nervous to talk to them in English. However, as time went by,
we became more confident and happy to meet them.
2. We visited Myeong-dong to interview some foreigners about their
general impressions of Myeong-dong and Korea. We met many visitors
from other countries, such as the U.S., Japan, Myanmar, and Russia.
They said that Myeong-dong is a nice place to shop, but there were
not enough traditional Korean shops. We should try our best to promote
Korea’s culture and traditions as junior ambassadors.
3. Insa-dong is a blend of modern and traditional things. It is also
a popular tourist attraction for many foreigners. We interviewed many
foreigners and also conducted a simple survey. Many said “Gyeongbok
palace and temples are nice.” Most people knew about K-pop and PSY.
It was a valuable experience.
4. We met various foreigners at Gyungbokgung palace. At first, it
was hard to ask questions to foreigners. But foreigners were very
kind and friendly. Many of the tourists had a very cooperative attitude
during our interviews. We were very grateful to them. We hope we can
get another opportunity to report soon!
