Many
of us love the sweet taste of beverages, such as sports drinks, fruit
juice, or soda. Adults love them, too! What¡¯s your favorite drink?
Did you know that certain types of drinks can cause health problems
like obesity or diabetes? We usually use 355ml cans or bottles, and
they hold large quantities - over 10 teaspoonfuls - of sugar! In fact,
doctors call these types of drinks ¡°liquid candy.¡±
Fruit juice may sound healthier than soda, but it also contains a
lot of sugar; even fruit juice that is 100 percent juice has a lot
of sugar. But don¡¯t worry - you can still enjoy fruit juice. Just
make sure you don¡¯t drink too much!
So what should you do when you¡¯re thirsty? The answer is simple -
drink water or milk. They are healthy, natural alternatives that will
keep your body happy and healthy! |
