Kamm and three colleagues in Taiwan are making new products for people with their 3D printer! Kamm and his colleagues cycle through the streets of Taipei and recycle plastic cups and plastic bottles by using a computer and a 3D printer. Kamm Kai-yu, a co-founder of Fabraft, a design studio, said, “We wanted to do something to bring both recycling and 3D printing closer to average people.” Their system is installed on the Mobile Fab, a unique bike equipped with pumps, wires, tubes, and display panels.

First, they find plastic cups or plastic bottles, and then cut them into pieces. After grinding them, they insert the plastic powder into their 3D printer. After a few hours, people get new products for free if they provide raw materials. They are very popular because many people stand by and watch what they are doing.
