Life is full of mysteries, isn't it? Recently, something very amazing happened to a Japanese girl named Natsumi Shirahige. A letter that she sent into the sky in a balloon 15 years ago has been found on a fish! Last Thursday, a fisherman found the letter on a flatfish in his catch.
Surprisingly, the letter was still legible! The fisherman said the letter was a nice surprise. "I've been in fishing for a long time. But this is unbelievable!" he said with a big smile.

When he opened the folded paper, he discovered that it was a handwritten letter from a six-year-old girl at an elementary school in Kawasaki. Natsumi released the letter as part of events to mark her school's 120th anniversary, which was in 1993. The letter reads, "My school is 120 years old. If you pick up this letter, please write back to me."
Now the little girl is a 21-year-old university student. "I can't get over the wonder of how the letter survived 15 years! I never expected I'd get a reply this way," she said.
