all need shoes to walk around. Without shoes, it will be hard to walk
around in cold winter or in hot summer. But unlike humans, animals don't need
shoes. Shoes are only for humans. But wait a minute! Look at the picture!
The dog is wearing shoes, right? Why
is it wearing shoes?
Well, recently the German police decided to
make their police dogs wear these shoes.
A police spokesman said last Monday
that "All 20 of our police dogs are now being trained to walk in these
shoes. I'm not sure they like it, but they'll have to get used to
it."
But why do the police dogs have to wear the shoes? That's because
the footwear will protect their paws! The dogs often step into broken bottles on the streets while
on duty and get hurt. That's why the
German police decided to make them wear the footwear.
The dogs will start wearing the shoes this spring. The shoes are blue
in color to match the officers' uniforms. "Now we have
to teach the dogs how to tie their shoes," the
spokesman joked. |
