 Dogs
are smart animals. They can do many cool tricks. But have you ever
seen a praying dog? Just look at
the pictures! It’s hard to believe. But the dog is really praying!
His name is Conan. He is one year old black-and-white Chihuahua. Conan lives in
a temple in Japan.
Every morning, Conan prays with his owner Joei Yoshikuni.
Look at him! He is sitting up on his hind legs and putting his
front paws together before the
altar. It took him only a
few days to learn the motions. “I think he saw me doing it all the time, and got the
idea to do it, too,” Yoshikuni said.
Now, the priest is trying to teach
him how to meditate! “I am just trying
to get him to sit still while I meditate,”
he explained. Do you think Conan
can do that? Well, let’s just wait and see! |
