World’s
Most Expensive Fish! (싱가포르)
 Some
animals are so precious that they are priceless. For example, if
you wanted to buy a panda bear, it would be very expensive. Anyways,
what kind of fish do you think is the most expensive? No, I am not
talking about sushi sold in Japanese restaurants. Hmm... I guess most
people would think the answer would be giant whales.
Well, it’s true that whales are very expensive. And a whale found
caught in the net in Korea was sold for 40 million won! But the real
answer is something else.
The most expensive fish in the world is called the White-gold Arowana. Take
a look at the photo. The skin of this fish shines bright just like
white-gold! Recently, the world’s largest aquarium in Singapore held
an aquatic life exhibition. And someone offered to buy this beautiful
fish for 80,000 U.S. dollars. That is about 80 million won!
This Can’t Be Jail! (한국)
 What
kind of images come into your mind when you hear the word ＂jail＂ Scary images of old
buildings and angry prisoners come to my mind.
I am sure we all had chances to see how jails look like through movies
or dramas on TV. Well, those images are true and jail is definitely
not a pretty place. Surprisingly, however, jails in Korea are changing!
Take a look at the photos. Believe it or not, these pretty pictures
are on the walls of some jails in Korea. Police officers say such
pictures can calm down angry inmates and make them more
peaceful. Police officers
also believe that this new idea can help bad people change into good
citizens. I personally think this is
a wonderful idea. Now jails look much prettier and at the same time prisoners
can turn into good people. Hopefully the new idea will reduce the crime rate in Korea.
There’s Nothing Better than a Nap! (미국)
 Since you are
kids, you don’t really know how difficult it is to work in an office.
But I am sure that you know your parents work very hard. Just like
you, they also want to take a nap sometimes during
the day. Sadly, there’s nowhere to take a nap in Korean offices. Well,
American adults have been suffering from the same problem.
