you love movies? Here’s a pop quiz! Who is the highest paid actor in Hollywood? Let me give you
some hints. He’s tall, good-looking and he is a
great actor! Who is he? His name is Will Smith! This week, let’s meet
this amazing American actor.
Will Smith was born on September 25, 1968 in Philadelphia in the U.S.
As a kid, he always carried a big smile, and he was so charming. People gave him
the knick name, “the prince.” Did you know Will
was a musician before he started
to act? At the age of 12, Will started to rap. By the time he was 20,
Will was known in the music world as a great rapper. He started to act
in 1991 through a show called “Fresh
Prince of Bel-Air.” It was a very successful comedy show.
Will’s acting was even better than
his music. Many movie companies wanted to shoot films with Will. Will really
wanted to show the world he can do much more than just comedy. How
did he fare in the movies? Very
well! All his movies were huge hits. In just a few years, Will became
one of the best actors in Hollywood.
 Let me name a few movies he has starred
in. Independence Day, Men in Black, Enemy of the State, Ali, I Robot,
Hitch, and many, many more. Actually, the list goes on
and on! He was a hit maker. Until now, he has won 28
awards! Isn’t that amazing?
So, did he forget about his love for music? No! In between acting, he made albums.
And these albums did very well, too.
Now, Will is living his dreams. He opened a movie production company.
He now wants to write stories for movies. He also spends a lot of
time finding talented artists. What’s
so great about Will other than the fact that
he is a talented actor and musician? He loves his community!
When people become famous and rich, they
forget about where they came from. But Will wasn’t like this. He does
many good things. Will often visits his hometown, Philadelphia, to
help out the poor. Also, whenever something really
bad happens in America, he gives big sums of money to help
out. He is friendly to everyone, and
loves being part of the community. As a father of two sons, Will Smith
is a great artist. He is a great role model for everyone! |
