Dakota Fanning is one of the most talented actresses in the world. She is best known for her acting in the movie I Am Sam. She became very famous worldwide with the movie. Since then, she started appearing in so many great movies. She is only 15 years old, but she is known as one of the best child actors. Her latest movie Push is also getting a good reputation.

Dakota Fanning was born on February 23, 1994 in Georgia. She has a younger sister named Elle, who is also an actress. Dakota showed an interest in acting at a very young age. She started her acting career at the age of 5. She made her TV appearance on the hit TV series ¡°ER.¡±

In 2001, she made her film debut by playing the role of Lucy Diamond Dawson in the movie I Am Sam. She played the daughter of a mentally handicapped man in the movie and her great acting was praised by so many people all over the world.
At the age of 8, she became the youngest person to be nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for her wonderful acting in I Am Sam She also received the Best Young Actress Award from the Broadcast Film Critics Association for her performance in the movie.

Since her successful movie debut, she kept on appearing in many famous movies including Sweet Home Alabama, Cat in the Hat, Uptown Girls, Man on Fire and War of the Worlds. She also appeared in a number of TV dramas such as The Ellen Show, Malcolm in the Middle, and Spin City.

Without a doubt, Dakota Fanning is the busiest child actress in Hollywood. She doesn¡¯t even have time to go to school. So, she is home schooled and has a teacher who goes with her to all the movie and TV sets.

Recently, her latest film Push was released. She starred in the movie as Cassie Holmes, a teenage girl who can see images of the future. Director of the movie Paul McGuigan said that Dakota was the only actress he wanted for the role.
And of course, she did a wonderful job in the movie. Surprisingly, she even chose her costumes and looks in the movie! Way to go, Dakota!
