We all like to play sports. But you need lots of skill and practice to become a pro. That¡¯s why when we see young teenagers competing in the big leagues, we give them respect. Well, do you know a teenager named Danny Lee? He is a Korean-born New Zealand golfer. In fact, he is very talented. How good is he? He is good enough to win the U.S. Amateur championship!

There are many great young golfers in the world. 18-year-old Danny Lee is one of them. Recently, he even made it to the Masters championship. You know what that means? He will be playing with superstar golfers like Trevor Immelman and Tiger Woods!

From now on, Danny will be competing with pros. He says he is very nervous about the upcoming championship. There are countless crowds watching the players. He isn¡¯t sure if he can even make a swing properly. ¡°Wow, when I was practicing, I saw so many people on the field. I have never seen that many people!¡± said Danny. ¡°I felt like there were butterflies in my stomach. But I want to do well in this competition. So, I am trying to stay calm at all times.¡±

Danny Lee now knows why even the greatest golfers made mistakes on the field. When he won the U.S. Amateur championship, he was the youngest winner in the 113 year history of the event! Of course, he even broke Tiger Woods¡¯ record. Lee has been practicing very hard to beat Tiger Woods. I personally think Lee has a great chance.

Along with Danny Lee, 19-year-old Rory McIlroy from Ireland and 17-year-old Ryo Ishikawa from Japan will be competing in the Masters. They are young players who can become great golfers. Let¡¯s hope and pray Lee will do well in the Masters. I am sure he will make all of us proud. Watch out, Tiger Woods! The Korean born young golfer will catch up sooner than you know!
