Big Ben is one of London¡¯s most famous landmarks. But recently, another Big Ben was built in Italy! What¡¯s going on? Well, take a look at the picture first. The Italian Big Ben on the left looks a little different, right? Don¡¯t be surprised. It is made entirely of chocolate!
Italian artist Angelo Feduzzi made the chocolate tower for a Christmas food festival in Macerata Feltria, central Italy. The chocolate Big Ben is 11 meters tall and weighs 8 tons. The chocolate tower took two weeks to put together.
¡°People have come for miles just to see my chocolate Big Ben. It has turned out to be the highlight of the festival. I am very happy and proud to have created something so successful.¡± said Feduzzi.
But what if the beautiful chocolate tower melts? Well, you don¡¯t have to worry about it. Festival organizers said that daytime temperatures at the moment in the town are no more than 3 degrees Celsius. So the tower is in no danger of melting.
The huge chocolate Big Ben will be standing for a week. Then, it will be sliced up and handed out to the public. I want a piece of it, too! Don¡¯t you?
