babies are very cute and lovely. They are very small
and have tiny hands and feet. However,
recently, a super baby was born in California.
His name is Richard Walker Sault. He was born two days before Christmas
last year in Orange County.
Doctors say he is the biggest baby ever born in California. So, how
big is he? Don’t be surprised. He weighed 6.4 kilograms at birth. Even his parents
were surprised by their newborn baby’s size. “The
average baby weighs about
3 kilograms at birth. But little Richard is about the size of a 6-month-old
baby,” a doctor said.
His parents plan to look for new baby clothes.
They already bought some clothes
for little Richard, but they are too small for the big baby. “We need
to get him clothes for 6 to 9-month-olds,” said Richard’s father.
Little Richard is a super-size baby, but he is not the biggest baby
in the world. In 2007, a Russian baby was born, weighing 7.2 kilograms.
In 2005, a big baby was born in Brazil, weighing 7.7 kilograms. According to the Guinness Book of World Records,
the world’s biggest baby weighed 11 kilograms at birth. He was born
in 1879 in Canada. |
