 Getting
a gift is a great thing. Getting something you really want makes you
very happy, right? This is exactly what happened to
a British boy named Joseph Pritchard. Recently, he got a very special gift from his dad.
Joseph is 8 years old and he loves playing soccer very much. He plays
soccer with his friends every day. In fact, he is an excellent soccer player.
His dream is to become a goalkeeper in the England
Premier League. But there is a little problem. So, what’s his problem?
Joseph was born with only 6 fingers - 3 fingers on each hand. But
don’t worry. He is very healthy, and he has a special talent as a goalkeeper. However,
it was hard for him to find goalkeeper gloves that fitted his hands. The gloves
kept on coming off. So his father decided to get a special pair of
gloves for him.

The gloves fit perfectly on his hands! “They
are helpful to me because they
won’t fall off when I’m playing
soccer and they are more comfy,” said Joseph with
a big smile. “They are one of the best presents I’ve ever had!”
According to Joseph’s dad,
the happy boy didn’t take them off most of the day, even when he was
drinking his tea! I’m also very happy for you, Joseph! Keep practicing
soccer and become a great goalkeeper! |
