January 20, Barack Obama became the first African-American President.
Many people all around the world celebrated the day together. People in Indonesia
were especially very happy because
they have a special love for Obama. The
new U.S. President spent his childhood in Indonesia. He
lived in Jakarta for 4 years after his mother married an Indonesian
man.
Surprisingly, Obama still
lives in Indonesia! What am I talking about? Just take a look at the pictures!
The man in the pictures looks just like Obama! Is he Obama’s twin brother? No, he is not.
His name is Ilham Anas. He is a 34-year-old magazine photographer in Indonesia.
After Obama won the presidential election, Anas
became very famous. This was because
Obama and Anas look very alike! Now, Anas starts to
appear on TV, too! “I feel
very lucky to resemble Obama,” said Anas.
“I never thought I would be a star on TV, then this happened. It’s very fortunate.”
Many people actually get confused when
they see him. “I was in the airport in Malaysia and a
man came to me and asked ‘Are you Obama?’. I was very surprised when
he asked to take a picture together and
bought me a meal,” said Anas. Wow! You
are really lucky, Anas! And who knows?
