you like Disney animated movies? I’m sure
many children love watching them. Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, The
Little Mermaid, Cinderella, and Aladdin are so much fun to watch.
Each movie has a pretty princess in it.
Recently, Disney created a special new princess. Her
name is Tiana. The princess was introduced at a Toy Fair
held in New York City last Monday. People were very surprised when
they saw her. So, what is so special about her?
Tiana is Disney’s first black princess! Just look at the picture. Isn’t
she beautiful? She is wearing a pretty blue dress and a crown. She is about the same
size as a Barbie doll. The Princess Tiana doll will be sold for about
10 to 15 dollars.
 Later
this year, Princess Tiana’s story will be made into a movie called
The Princess and the Frog. This is the first time for Disney to make
a film with a black princess. I can’t wait to see the movie!
Now, America has its first African-American president
as well as the first African-American princess! |
