 Soccer
is a great sport. And it is a very popular sport all over the world.
Who is your favorite soccer player? I think Korean soccer players
like Park Ji-sung and Lee Dong-gook is also great. But, there is someone
very special that I like. He is from England. His name is David Beckham.
Most of you probably know him. His full
name is David Robert Joseph Beckham. He was born in London in England
on May 2, 1975. David was an ordinary kid. He loved to
study and play with his friends. However, he had an extraordinary talent. He was a great soccer
player.
He played in his junior high and high school teams. How good was he?
When he was only 17, he was recruited by Manchester United in the
Premier League. This is the team that Park Ji-sung is playing for
right now.
During his time there, he helped Manchester United win the championship
title six times! David soon became a superstar and a captain for the
England’s national soccer team.
In 2003, David went to Real Madrid, a team in Spain. He played there
for four seasons. And in 2007, David came to Major League Soccer in
the U.S. to play for Los Angeles Galaxy. So, why is David one of the
best? Of course he has natural talent in soccer.
But, he practices hard. All his former coaches say David
is highly disciplined. He never misses his training or a
practice. David is not just famous for soccer. He is very handsome.
And he modeled for some famous designers. |
