Countless scientists are planning a visit to Papua New Guinea. Why visit this particular country? There is an important reason. Many new species of fish, rats and frogs have been discovered. On the Pacific island of Papua New Guinea, there is a volcanic crater. The last time the volcano erupted was 200,000 years ago.
Inside the crater, there is no pollution. And the natural environment has been perfectly preserved. Biologists recently discovered 16 frogs which have never been recorded before by scientists. There were also three new kinds of fish, and a never seen before rat. Many of the world¡¯s rainforests have been destroyed. However, the ecosystem in the crater is full of riches life.
Biologists say they were mind blown when they saw the cute little creatures. Since they had never experienced human contact, they weren¡¯t afraid to approach the biologists. Scientists all over the world are very excited. And they believe more new species are waiting to be discovered.
