Elephants are very peaceful animals. They are very sociable and smart. Scientists say they have very strong bonds with their family. And of course like other wild animals, when they get upset, elephants can be scary. Contrary to common belief, elephants have shown aggressive behavior in history. Although they look calm most of the time, they can become very violent. Well, recently an elephant in the Children¡¯s Grand Park in Korea got into a big trouble.

A lady was passing by the elephant enclosure, and an elephant threw a rock at her using its trunk. The lady passed out when the rock hit the back of her head. She didn¡¯t actually see the rock being thrown by the elephant. But she said she remembered that seeing two elephants were coiled their trunks while staring at her just before she lost her consciousness.

Police will be investigating the issue. And the surveillance video will be reviewed. Zookeepers say that it¡¯s the first time an elephant threw a rock at a person. Although they aren¡¯t quite sure why, they believe emotional changes may have affected the elephant.

The rock thrown was the size of an adult¡¯s fist. Ouch! That must have hurt. The lady isn¡¯t sure if she is going to sue for damages. Well, there is a high chance that this elephant will be in trouble if found guilty.
